What apps collect what info and how it is used?
Monal for iOS will register for APNS push notifications at push.monal.im . A user’s IP address will be logged in the HTTP server logs. All server logs are purged every two weeks and there isn’t any way to associate this with any particular individual.
Monal OSX, TvPortal, MyNepali, Sleeptrack and WordSwat do not collect any user information.
App apps do track crashes and usage data anonymously. This is only technical information related to the crash and the device it is running on. No user personal data is included. These logs are shipped to Fabric’s Crashlytics (now owned by Google) and is dependent on their GDPR policies. Any data shipped to crashlytics is only retained for 90 days.
Sleeptrack only collects basic user metric info (OS version, device capability etc) in an anonymous fashion. Ads served in sleep track use the iOS id for advertising. When there is a crash an anonymous crash log may be sent back for debugging. This only contains device technical info to help identify the crash. No user personal data is included. User sleep data is only transmitted to run keeper when the user has chosen to connect to run keeper. I do not collect and have no intention of ever collecting any user’s sleep or other health related data that may be entered in health book. No sleep related data is provided to any other third party.
GDPR Subject Access Requests (SAR)
Europen GDPR allows users to request a copy of all data retained about them. Since I do not retain any data and have no means to associate them with a particular individual, do not submit any SAR for any apps. They will all be ignored.
